Share the love ♥

It's not what you say... it's how you say it.

You can say you love me to bits, but your words could be dripping with sarcasm.

So if you like to get your point across but might be too wimpy to say it yourself, then check out one of these short videos by soundlyawake and send them the link that expresses your feelings the most.

Sorry, they might look a bit cut-off in certain web browsers (like mine T__T) but still watchable because the guy is always on the left side of the video anyway!

For those you can't stand because they think they are all that.
Don't send this back to me! T___T

To tell someone that you have a crush on them.
I think he sounds soooooo much like Fran Fine from The Nanny! (or like Janice from FRIENDS)

What better way to say you love someone, huh??

Then & now

Before

After

I went to Aqua Hair Studio in Glen Waverley to get a new haircut last Saturday.
I think it's newly opened and is operated by Koreans :3

I got two inches chopped off and my hair layered and heavily thinned out.
The whole process took a whole hour.. which is usually the case due to my extremely thick hair.
The hairdresser was very patient with my hair; which is a bonus. Usually they start whining to me and say things like, "Gosh, you have enough hair for two heads!"

It also only cost me $35!! That's pretty cheap! *prances

I definitely will be going back! ;)

Shouldn't have dug it out!!

But hey, I only had my nail polish brush to make those designs! HUZZAH!
I only have hot pink.. I used up all my baby pink... (+__+)
I so want to get nail art pens now!

I was inspired by http://chaigyaru.com/dolly-wink-nails/ -- stumbled onto her blog recently! she's always updating her blog! ♥

Queen's Birthday celebration with golf and bbq at Emerald Golf and Country Resort

Last week was the Queen's Birthday and thus we were bestowed with a long weekend; WOOTS!!

I mentioned this to Sharon on MSN the other week and she said, "What?? We had the Queen's Birthday last week!"

How unfair funny that she has two birthdays?! Imagine if you had to get someone like the Queen a gift twice a year!! @__@

Anyho, I went to wikipedia and found out that her actual official birthday is on the 21st of April!

!!!!

Apparently, her birthday is celebrated in May or June:
For the United Kingdom: the first, second, or third Saturday in June
Canada: the Monday before the 24th May
Australia: the second Monday in June Except Western Australia which is celebrated on the first Monday
New Zealand: the first Monday in June

Neat huh? Now you've learnt something from me!!
If you already knew that, let's pretend you didn't :D

Anyway, last Sunday, Josh organized a game of golf and a barbecue at his workplace, Emerald Golf and Country Resort.

Most of us rocked up fairly early (before 10 am), others were a little late *cough*Rudi*cough*

Emerald is absolutely breathtaking. The air is crisp and clean, the trees are lush and green, and the course is well-maintained. It is a delightful escape from reality!

Unfortunately, the serenity of the place was soon to be defiled by a group of rascals.

Left to right: Perry, Chris, Yuri, Rudi, Janet, Max, myself and Josh
Photographer: Ernest

With the exception of Josh, Max and Ernest, the rest of us were terrible at golf, having little or no experience at all.

We lost about four golf balls in this pond!

Along the way, we spotted a number of odd mushrooms.

Janet and I camwhored a little bit while waiting for our turns :D

My awesome yellow ball!! I had an orange one too but I lost it in the woods :(

We found this gorgeous spot to take autumn/winter photos! ♥

Perry can rival us girls in camwhoring! He wanted to take a nice photo of leaves falling all around him. So Max and I threw leaves into the air while Janet took the photo!

But for some reason, he just looked petrified of the leaves!!!

LMAO!!!

After spending four hours out playing six holes, we were all starving!!

After stuffing ourselves, we went into the resort and warmed up in front of the fire place

The boys played a few rounds of pool and also ping pong :D

It was such good fun :)
My legs were so jelly-like afterwards and arm was sore the next day but it was so worth it.

I'm itching to go out there soon!! ♥

PS: Everytime I type 'golf', I type out 'gold' instead (Am I that materialistic?!)

Barbie Big DM23 Circle Lens Review

I apologize, I know that I owe you this review for a while now *shifty-eyes

Well, you should know by now that I procrastinate. A lot.
But also know that I keep my words!! *prances

I get things done... eventually.

Ahem.

Barbie Big DM23 Circle Lenses Review

Now, circle lenses are lenses with a large dark outer rim to create an enlarged iris effect. They also make your sclera (the white bit of your eyes) appear whiter due to the iris being much more defined.

Comparison: Left side with the lens, right side without any.
The diameter of these lenses is 14.5mm!
Notice the very obvious enlarging effect @__@

The only problem with circle lenses is that those with smaller eyes can look a little alien because the lenses cover too much of the sclera.

When I first put them on, I thought I looked very odd. For some reason, Josh seems to think it looks good on me and he likes these lenses on me best.

Although they look rather orange in their glass vials, they are quite natural looking as they blend well with my brown eyes.

Lenses in different lighting:
Indoor next to a window (left) and Bathroom (right)

Indoors with sufficient lighting

Indoors next to a window

Indoors with flash.
I think they look rather good with flash as the brown becomes very obvious.

Again, I purchased these lenses from pinkyparadise.com

*picture and details taken from website

 Item details
Brand : Barbie
Diameter : 14.5mm
Water Content : 38%
Base Curve : 8.6mm

Comfort:
These lenses are quite comfortable, I could wear them for up to 4 hours without a problem. However, I do find that they don't fit my eyes well so sometimes I feel that they lag a little bit when I move my eyes. They are still better-fitting than my Grey Storms!

Other effects:
Definitely much more enlarging than the Storms and my Adult Greys with its 14.5mm diameter
They are quite natural-looking as they are not orangey-brown like some lenses. They can look a bit scary close-up when you're outdoors in the sun but otherwise, they look great indoors and in pictures (flash or no-flash!).

I've gotten used to seeing myself with circle lenses now but I still don't wear them very often.
I do think that circle lenses give their wearer an instant 'cutesy' look.

Don't you think? ♥

Work shenanigans

I love my colleagues. They are such an odd but loveable bunch of people. They certainly make work a lot more fun!

Not too long ago, on a Monday morning I asked my colleague "J" what she did over the weekend. She admitted that while doing some vacuuming at home, she spotted a mouse in the corner of her house. In her desperation, she sucked the mouse into her vacuum.

!!!!

Of course, when we asked her how she got rid of it, she said that it's still in the vacuum which was hastily shoved outside into her backyard. She had waited for her sons to return home to get rid of the mouse but to her horror, neither of them wanted to go near the vacuum cleaner!!

She even asked a male colleague of mine whether he could get rid of the mouse for her. He said yes but she would have to bring the vacuum cleaner to work in order to do so. She shuddered at the thought of having a mouse in her car so decided against the idea.

It took her sons four days before they summoned enough courage to touch the vacuum cleaner. By then, of course, the mouse had died... @____@

Anyway, another colleague of mine spotted a mushroom growing near our work car park and went to google it to see if it was edible. It was a "shaggy mushroom" and apparently, according to several websites, they are edible.

So she decided to cook it.

!!!!

I immediately backed out, how reliable are these online sources anyway?! A few of my colleagues said that they were game enough to eat it if she cooked it.

She sauteed it with butter, salt and pepper. It smelled really good but looks rather.... unusual.

Suddenly, those who said they were game enough to try backed out. LMAO.

Shattered

I apologize for the lack of updates. The big boss is back in town and a colleague is on her one-month leave so it's been crazy at work.

Here's an awesome video to entertain you for another minute.
