The Visiting Swedish Cousins

Well!!

It's been an exhilarating and exhausting three weeks!
Unfortunately my trip to Hong Kong had to be postponed, so I was definitely not thrilled about it.

Nonetheless, Josh and I made the most out of it. Although I did not manage to spend a lot of time with Josh's cousins Tim and SueLing as I would like to, we did go to Tim Burton's Exhibition together :)

Sadly, we weren't allowed to take photos inside the exhbition so here are a few measly photos we have:

Unfortunately, I had to fly to Hong Kong while they were still in Australia so I didn't get to send them off.
I'm sure they thoroughly enjoyed themselves though ;)

Josh took a 2-week leave so spent most of the days showing them around Melbourne while I slaved away at work. They even made a spontaneous trip to Sydney where they were privileged enough to stay at luxurious Westin Hotel! Many thanks to Lucas ;)  ... therefore, I expect no less when it's my turn to visit Syndey :P

Hope you enjoyed your stay in Australia! Do come back soon! :D

Moving!

I'm so so so excited!!

I can't wait to move into my new place! It's small but cosy ♥♥♥

This is the gorgeous Ikea kitchen!! The owner had it refurbished with Ikea cabinets, shelves and countertop.

As a gauge of how small the place is, the person who took this photo is standing in the very end of the living/lounge room.

It is still awesome!! Can't wait!! *prances

Am hoping my neighbours are nice people so I'll enjoy living there! :D
I've moved at least 12 times in my life! Approximately 8 times in the past 4 years too.
So it would be nice if I can settle somewhere nice for longer :)

Oooo guess what I made??

Have finally gotten myself a set of crochet hooks.
Seriously, I was quite obsessed with my little creation, having it re-done it 5 times.

I will post it up when I've finally taken a nice picture of the final product. My camera is now packed away somewhere.........

I dislike packing! Too much hard work for someone who is as super-organized as I am. I've written down everything I packed away so I will be able to find my things.. and also made a back-up copy on Excel.

Pedantic much? Or borderline obsessive?

Can't wait to move!!!!

A series of unfortunate events

So many things have happened lately, and a couple of them were unfortunate events: break-ins!
One had their house ransacked and another had their vehicle broken into (a rented one too; so they had to pay extra for the smashed window). A lot of valuable stuff were stolen.

When Josh's car was broken into a few months ago, we were very shaken up.
Knowing that an intruder has made his way into our vehicle and was actually rummaging through our things in search for anything worth stealing is unsettling.
Just the very thought of that still freaks me out.

I am very glad he purchased a car alarm for his vehicle. It just gives us some peace of mind. Of course, this doesn't mean it won't happen again. Hopefully, the alarm will deter any intruder the next time it happens.

So kids, please be careful.

Please make sure your doors and windows are secure.
Invest in home insurance or security.

Remember to park in well-lit areas and NEVER leave anything in the car to tempt these criminals!!
Don't even try to hide any valuables by throwing your coat/jacket over it. It just rouses their curiosity even more!

Just don't assume that a place is safe, anything can happen and it can happen to anyone.
