Candy stripe nails ♥ ♥ ♥ Recycle: Make own nail art brush

Orange isn't a colour I usually wear, due to the yellow undertones in my skin. I do love orange nails so the only way to wear them is to balance them out with other colours!

It's pretty simple. You just need to be very patient and have steady hands.

Start with orange as your base.
Once it's dried, run a strip of white nail polish using a thin/tapered brush down the middle as your guide.
Then do one stripe on each outer sides of your nail.

It helps if you have nail art brushes but if you don't, like me, you can make your own.
It's super easy! You don't have to buy anything!
Next time you want to throw away any old nail varnishes, keep the brush!
  • First, remove any remaining nail polish with a nail polish remover.
  • Clean brush with hot soapy water, blot dry with paper towel.
  • Use scissors to snip away the brush hairs until you get a thin tapered brush!

 And that's it!!!!!

To use your "new" nail art brush, I suggest you pour some of your nail polish into a small plastic/metal pot so you can dip your nail brush into.

The tricky bit is to clean your nail art brushes when you've already painted your nails and don't want to risk ruining them!
I suggest you pour your nail polish remover into a small bottle and wash your brush in it to remove the nail polish :)

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!
